Why is sitename.com/index not working?

Raised a simple site on a falcon via vagrant (apache). On live, urls like sitename.com/index or sitename.com/index/index work, but I don't locally. The code is identical. The difference is obtained only in the server settings. With this:
sitename.com/index.php
sitename.com/about
sitename.com/about/index
work.
That is, the server does not accept index without an extension, but other controllers are fine. I'm not very versed in admin matters, what could be the problem?

I figured it out, in the config there was Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews, deleted MultiViews everything worked
