Why is Phptorm using so much RAM?

Good day to all.

For development I use PhpStorm. Recently I have noticed that the program "lags" a lot during work, I noticed that when starting a project with a clean WordPress, it eats up 4.8-5GB of RAM, stable.

To be honest, I have not watched the amount of memory used by the program before, but I suspect that something is not right. Has anyone experienced this? How to be?

PS. The program works with SSD, the project is on a regular hard drive (I checked, everything is ok with it).
There is an idea to buy a separate SSD purely for PhpStorm projects, but will it help?

Well, I don’t know, even half a gig rarely fits me, even when two storms are open with projects on Bitrix ...

Something eats memory. open file, plugin, setting or crack. I have 3 large projects open with a bunch of files more than 20 pieces and it takes 1200 mb
