Why is NetBeans not updating?

Worth NetBeans 8.1. Everything would be fine, but I noticed that 8.2 has already been released, but the IDE, when checking for an update, writes that there are no updates: "Your IDE is up to date! There are no updates available.".
I tried to download and install 8.2, but it is installed separately ... but I don’t want to transfer projects and settings.
What could be the problem?
