Why is my laptop not running on battery power?
In general, I replaced the ssd, changed all the rules, it works smartly. At the same time, while the bolts were not closed, I decided to clean the laptop. I completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled and the laptop stopped working from the battery. Only from the network. The Windows battery charge indicator writes First connected, charging, and after 5-10 minutes it is connected, does not charge, although the charge indicator shows 55%. I checked the battery connector, it is connected to the motherboard. I unplugged it again and turned it on. By the way, next to it there is a small button, it must be reset?
In general, the day after tomorrow you will have to carry it to the service, but maybe knowledgeable people will tell you maybe the reason, at least from experience?

When I disassembled my Acer Aspire, I had the same problem, I reassembled the area with the battery again and everything became normal.
In new laptops / ultrabooks, battery. as a rule, it is not removable, but when parsing, in order to exclude force majeure, the main thing is to turn off the battery. and de-energize the board. And if, after removing the main cover, the battery cannot be immediately disconnected (the design does not allow), then manufacturers often provide battery switches in the design. There are different options, but as a rule, either manually and then there is a switch, or semi-automatic mode, when you remove the cover, the contact opens.
