Why is my disk drive not working in Ubuntu 16.04?

Hello! For some reason, the CD / DVD-RW drive for disks does not work in Ubuntu 16.04 (although everything worked in Windows). Does not read or write disks, programs for writing do not detect it
In /etc/fstab added the line

/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom iso9660,udf rw,noauto,user,exec 0 0

- did not help

most likely not determined and something did not work.
read /var/log/kern.log most likely there will be some kind of error there.
