Why is multicast in Linux only accepted as root?

IPTV is distributed from the home server to the TV via udpxy. I did not change anything in the system, it has recently stopped working. Neither vlc nor mpv see packets, although they are (tcpdump sees the traffic)!
Fought for a long time. Didn't achieve anything. I learned one thing - any applications without root cannot receive a multicast stream. It costs to run from the root - everything shows and works.
Can someone suggest what could be the problem? Arch distribution. There are no SELinuxes.

So it turns out that you no longer have multicast, but http traffic. And the usual http browser is normally fulfilled? Have you tried completely disabling iptables?
