Why is login changed to email when changing user?
When changing the user, if the email field is set, then it does not matter what was in the login field, the value is replaced with email.

Most likely, on the events OnBeforeUserAdd , OnBeforeUserUpdate , the login is replaced with email. In init.php, you need to look at the handlers for these events.
