Why is it difficult for me to decide on a direction and find a job?

Actually, the title of the topic is not quite suitable, but I was forced to create it in the form of a question :)
I've been studying Java for more than a year, I've been looking for a job for a long time, and now I'm thinking, is this what I'm doing? It is very difficult to find a job, there are many who want it, the direction is the most difficult for the web (in the sense that the world of Java seems to be considered the most difficult in terms of programming tasks among web technologies). And I thought, maybe I can change direction, maybe it will be easier for me, and most importantly more interesting than Java? Will I be interested in solving some narrow business tasks that are not particularly interesting at my 23?. Although I still don’t firmly understand how the web on conditional PHP, JS, Python, etc. differs from Java (except for primitive answers that this is an enterprise, that these are not small online stores, etc.). Does it make sense to change technologies in order to find a job faster? Given that there is already experience in writing code for applications,
It also prompted me that I sometimes played with Golang for myself, in addition to the basics of the language and played with different libraries a couple of times, but I was called once for an interview. At the same time (!), in Java, which I study for a year+, read books, articles, practice, there are repositories on github - only 4 social security per year. I will clarify that I am in Warsaw, and not the CIS, I think it is more difficult to get a job here, that is, I assume that in my country, I would already have found a job.

Need advice from the experienced. Hope to continue? It is very necessary to work, let's say even urgently. What do you advise? That is, I already see that, in fact, my knowledge does not decide at all, I at least half a year ago got into social security a few times, now with much more knowledge - I get refusals like "sorry, we chose other candidates" everywhere. No repositories, no improvements to my resume really help. Will it be easier for me to find JavaScript jobs? All the same, I tend to him most of all, it seems to me that it is much easier to find a job there, right? And there is also a backend there and you can do more interesting things than in Java, although at the beginning my salaries will probably be much less than they could be in Java.

And I thought, maybe change direction, maybe it will be easier for me

And if it’s easier, then there will be even more applicants and the competition is even higher.
everywhere I get rejections like "sorry, we chose other candidates"

You should always ask for feedback. Find out in detail the reasons why you weren't hired, and fix it.
I will clarify that I am in Warsaw, and not the CIS, I think it is more difficult to get a job here, that is, I assume that in my country, I would already have found a job.

Juna is not needed by anyone , and even more so guest workers.

You can study for 5-10 years and not learn anything, are there ready-made projects that work? Is there anything to really show from what you describe in your resume as "good knowledge of blablabla"?
It’s not entirely clear, out of how many resumes sent you were invited to 4 interviews?
And, if such a plug to get settled at the place of residence, and this is not connected with your prof. level - look for remote work at home, what's stopping you?
And there is also a backend and you can do more interesting things than in Java,
In the web (as well as in other areas of development), there is practically no special fun and diversity, to paraphrase a certain proverb - when you have a database, everything around seems to be CRUD ...

If you can't pass an interview on what you study for a year, why do you think it's possible to switch to something completely different and get a job right away?
Apparently there is little knowledge, since even at the past interviews you were not offered an offer.
Or try to get a job. Ask at interviews for feedback on why they didn’t take what to pull up, pull up and try. Warsaw is full of large outsourcers.
Or don't mess with IT at all.

My guess is that you're just not good at interviewing or you're asking too much for your knowledge. Although I am a system administrator (unix, web-server, db), I got a job in an organization at a salary lower than expected (on a trial period), but I just went and asked for training, causing this with a fierce desire to at least something worth learning. And by the way, I'm 23 too :)

Now there are a lot of fictitious vacancies, and there are many times more job seekers.
what are these fake jobs for? organizations need it, for general unemployment statistics for the country, to show that unemployment is low. as a result, people see a bunch of vacancies for which no one is hired, people think that something is wrong with them

Didn't find what you were looking for?
