Why is it customary to use Google Fonts? How are they better and more convenient than other fonts when developing?

Those that are already uploaded somewhere, are in different formats, are correctly described in CSS, are either in the cache or very close to the consumer in Google racks that many operators have.

They are no better. Fonts are like fonts.

Who accepted? This is just a convenience: I inserted 1 line in my HTML and one in CSS and use it.
