Why is it blocked when changing the keyboard layout in Chrome?

Google Chrome browser, Ubuntu 14.10 operating system.
When typing in Google Chrome, even if it's a search bar, you often have to switch from the English keyboard layout to the Russian one. The problem is that with 3-4 layout changes, the keyboard is simply completely blocked. Moreover, the keyboard is blocked in Google Chrome, not a single button works, not to mention that the layout does not change. In the same Firefox, this problem is not observed. When blocking the keyboard with chrome, I tried to open notepad and try to print - everything is fine. The problem is solved only by restarting the browser, but even here, after 3-4 attempts, everything is all over again. What is the problem?
Reinstalled several times, cleaned everything. Nothing helps...

It was the same. I went around the sof and the toaster, found nothing. Tried chromium - same song. There were some vague advice on English-language resources, it did not help. Moved to Mint. Satisfied with life.
Chrome on Ubuntu. After switching the language, the input in the browser and on the pages and in the address bar stops working. What to do? - my question is on the same topic.
