Why is indentation not needed before case and how to deal with editors?

Why, according to the styleguide in many languages, case and switch go on the same level, without indentation, but editors stubbornly put this indentation (sublime, IDEA)? How to deal with it and who is really right?

Editor -> Code Style -> Ruby -> Other -> Ident when cases
