Why is hostednetwork not working?
Greetings.
Data: on a Windows 10 laptop, all smartphones are on Windows Phone 8.1
Problem: at home I distribute the Internet via a laptop to native smartphones with commands in the console (I run through the administrator)
> netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=login key=password
> netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Then I give shared access in the network settings to the virtual adapter and you're done.
Previously, everything started and worked fine, but now - all of a sudden - when connecting, an error is generated “The network is not responding. Please try again later."
I tried to reinstall the drivers for everything that is possible, restart with different logins and passwords - nothing helps. I have no opportunity to check with smartphones on another OS. On command
> netsh wlan show hostednetwork Output
:
Hosted network parameters
---------------------------------
Mode : allowed
SSID name : "login"
Maximum number of clients : 100
Check Authentication: WPA2-Personal
Cipher: CCMP
Hosted network status
---------------------------------
Status : Started
BSSID : 74:e5:43:24:ae: bd
Radio type : 802.11n
Channel : 10
Number of clients : 0
Please help!

Install Windows 8.1. Ten is not yet a finished product, so errors in its work are the norm.
Use
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow
netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=namewifi key=password
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
netsh wlan show hostednetwork
Also try with a different wi-fi network name and password (must be more than 8 characters and numbers and letters, at least one each)
There was a similar problem. Build 10074? If so, it's a build issue. Put a fast ring and update to 10130, everything works great there.
