Why is hardware decoding not enabled for some videos in Daum PotPlayer?

Hello.
I have a laptop with an Intel Core i5-6200U (Skylake) processor and an Nvidia Geforce 940MX discrete graphics card.
When watching some videos (for example, screencasts recorded on the same laptop) in PotPlayer, the text "H / W" is highlighted at the bottom, which means that hardware decoding is enabled when viewing this video.

The other day I downloaded a video from a torrent in .avi format and when watching this video, instead of "H / W" in the player, "Xvid" is displayed.

As far as I understand, this video does not use hardware decoding. If so, why and how to enable it?
