Why is Firefox so slow?

Hello everyone
. I always liked the fox more, because she doesn’t want to sit on all the chairs with one booty and seems to be more friendly for web development, but her voracity amazes me. At work, the computer is not very good (although at home it also manages to lag on MBP), so there is a terrible slide show. There are no plugins, except for a translator and a blocker. It eats up a stable gig of memory, but one and a half more is free, so "there is room to grow"
Maybe you can somehow customize it so that it would work more "humanly"
