Why is bower no longer relevant?

Good afternoon. I use npm and bower for my projects. I install frameworks and libraries through bower, very convenient. But lately I've noticed that many people are moving away from npm and bower in favor of yarn and webpack. Even the bower developers themselves recommend switching to webpack. Tell me what to do in this case?

If you like to work with bower - do not pay attention.
If you want to keep up with the times, slowly switch to webpack, yarn, %what-is-there-is-now-popular%.
My opinion is that bower is not needed, everything is the same and even more done by the same yarn or gulp. In order to somehow reduce the number of tools bloated in the frontend, I abandoned the bower.
