Why is audio interrupted during audio calls on a Mac?

There is a MacBook Pro 13 "Retina. Recently, there have been problems when talking on any voice communication programs: Skype, Viber, Zoiper.
After every 15-20 seconds of a conversation, the sound from the interlocutor disappears for 2-4 seconds. After this short pause, the sound continues almost without loss. That is, these 2-4 seconds of the interlocutor's speech do not disappear, but simply get stuck, and then arrive with a delay and the conversation continues. After 5-10 minutes of conversation, the intervals between pauses increase. After 20-30 minutes, it is simply impossible to speak
Apparently, the interlocutor hears me in the same way with interruptions .
I tried different software for voice communication: Skype, Viber, Zoiper. I tried to change the Internet source: home WiFi network, office WiFi network, 3G. Tried restarting the laptop a couple of times. The problem persists.
What could be the reason?

Problems are easier to solve. Deleted Skype on a smartphone (Android). Apparently, Skype does not know how to work correctly on a Mac and a smartphone at the same time.

I think the problem is banal - over time, any computer "clogs". The load installed on it, with its libraries (sometimes buggy with each other) - starts to slow down the system. From above, "bads" that have appeared on the disk, in unsuccessful places in the system, or devices that are half out of order (for example, a scorched video card) may be superimposed.
In general, I think a thorough cleaning and optimization of the system is necessary, in addition, we need to check the disk, check / update drivers and diagnose devices ... If defects are found, we fix it, or send it to a service for repair
