Why is a file opened in linux not opened for reading in windows?
Good day to all.
Prompt, there is a file storage on Windows Server. It is used by both users with OS Linux (Kubuntu 14.04) and users with OS Windows 7. On a Linux machine, the storage is mounted using pam mount.
The thing is, if you open a document (in particular a table) on Windows and then try to open it on Linux, you will be prompted to open the document for reading and it will open. But, if you turn this trick in the opposite direction, then a document already opened for editing on Linux will not open on Windows, as well as on other Linux machines. The error "Unable to read the file" will appear. Tried different versions of LibreOffice (4.4, 5.4, 6.3) the situation does not change.
What could be the problem?
