Why don't usb devices work on tv box?

I bought a xiaomi mibox3 international version TV set-top box and not a single usb device works for me. The set-top box does not see a USB flash drive, or a usb mouse, nothing.

Had the same problem. I was already upset, but in vain. Restarting and resetting to factory settings helped. USB worked.
