Why don't I get notifications when I comment on answers in Q&A?

The question is: is this a bug or a feature?
For example: if I answered someone's question in Q&A, and someone wrote a comment to it and asked for clarification, then I will not know about it unless I specifically go into this question again. Is it supposed to be like this or am I missing something?

The problem is that the checkmark appears only when there is at least one answer. The second problem is yes, now you will receive everything. :(
Comments on _your_ answer do not come if the question is not yours. Very sad
