Why doesn't Yandex Metrica process clicks on the map area?

Clicking anywhere on the page sends a GET request to Yandex.Metrica. Except for the areas marked with map area. They had a handler with "preventDefault()". Removed, didn't help.
As a result, there are areas on the heat map of clicks where not a single click is registered. Unfortunately, these are the most important and used areas in the interface.
My script normally catches these clicks. What could be the problem with Metrica? Some sort of tag filter?

Did you try to turn on the debugger in chrome or firefox and see how click interception goes?
