Why doesn't xamarin show debug information?

Both xamarin studio and VS are the same, no current data, no threads, the breakpoint is ignored at all, sort of, what could be?

Are you running the application in Debug mode?

look in the manifest, maybe you have debuggable set to false, if the application was laid out in the market, then most likely this is the case
