Why doesn't woocommerce structure change?

I'm writing a theme from scratch, I didn't create a child theme. I want to change the structure of woocommerce. I create a woocommrece folder in my theme and push the archive-product.php file there. As far as I understand, in this scenario, the plugin should first use the file from my directory, and only then from its own, but this is not so. Changes are not applied. What am I doing wrong?
