Why doesn't the Samba share appear in the Win10 Network Neighborhood when connected via VPN?

Hello gentlemen. At the request of a friend, I set up a VPN server on his Raspberry Pi 3 model B. In the same place, I had previously configured Samba. From my home PC with Win10, I connect through a friend's VPN, but his share is not visible in the network environment. That is, when connecting via VPN, if you enter \\192.168.1.42 in the address bar, then the contents of the balls open as expected. But the ball itself (raspberrypi) for some reason does not appear in my list of available ones.
Tell me, please, what am I wrong about and how to get the ball in my network environment?

Because "Network Neighborhood" only works on the local network

Because it is necessary to explicitly specify the wins server.

Well, it looks like the ball works fine for you, just there is no name.
See the name server, the one that WINS for example.
