Why doesn't the laser pointer run on AA batteries?

Very far from electronics, but it became so interesting that I decided to ask.
There is a laser pointer with three round not very small batteries.
Are three of these small batteries more powerful than one finger?
And why does this pointer not shine from the new finger?

@vasIvas

Because THREE round small batteries of 1.25-1.5 volts EACH give a total of 3.75 - 4.5 volts. And ONE finger - only 1.5.

In fact, it works, only it is not visible))) In complete darkness, it can even be considered a point 0

The pointer will also shine from a 1.5 volt battery if this battery is connected to the pointer via a DC-DC converter 1.5 -> 4.5 V. With a high converter efficiency, the pointer will work longer than from three small tablets.
