Why doesn't the laser mouse drive on all surfaces?

For a long time the mouse does not travel on all surfaces. Let it be a wooden table or fabric sofa. I got used to the fact that I take a book and use it as a rug (by the way, I don’t even ride on all rugs). Here's what I think is the problem. Maybe the laser itself has gone bad.

You need to take a more passable one:
well, if, in fact, only mice with a price tag of over 1000 rubles ride well on all surfaces. for example , she even rides on transparent glass .

I usually blow sharply and strongly into the hole of the optical sensor, it helps :)
