Why doesn't the command work on CentOS 6?

Good night,
Why is this command not executed in CentOS 6, it "sudo vi /etc/systemd/system/test.service"
says that there is no such directory?

maybe because centos 6 doesn't have systemd yet?

Probably because there is no systemd in EL6 and thank God that it is not there.

Systemd only appeared in centos 7
