Why doesn't the application start under the debugger in Android Studio?

Help with this question. I want to connect an application without source code under the debugger.
Installed smalidea, registered a flag for debugging in the manifest. Added an application through the debug menu.
As a result, when you start the debugger in android studio, it says that everything is connected, but the application itself is waiting for the debugger. I tried another application, everything went fine.
I tried to connect to an already running process, but in this case my breakpoint is already flying by. Where, what to check?
Ps Once it happened to get through the already running process, but how it was not clear
