Why doesn't Ruby see the qt library?

To solve my problem, you need to use a bunch of Ruby + Qt. I did everything according to this article, but unfortunately everything falls on the very first connection line. require 'Qt4'The error is understandable, this Qt4 sammy was not found. I forgot to connect Rubygems before. Please tell me what could be the problem, or write what needs to be registered so that everything works. Preferably straight from the installation of curl and rvm.
About me: os elementary, ruby 2.1.0, rvm 1.25.18

I think you are using rather outdated information. If I were you, I would take a look at this gem: https://github.com/ryanmelt/qtbindings
I got it on Ubuntu and it worked the first time without any shamanism.
