Why doesn't pull work?

I installed yosemite git on mac os, created a folder, connected the repository created on github, files are uploaded to the remote repository, but they don’t want to go back to the local server, I enter (git pull origin master) and get

Already up-to-date

It seems that there are no errors in the message, but the files are not updated, what could be the problem? Thank you!

And besides you, someone pushes to the Github repository?
This answer means that your repository (branch) is up to date and there is nothing to update.
