Why doesn't phpthumbon crop the image left/right etc, just from the center?

Good day.
Tell me why phpthumbon in modx revo does not crop the image to the left / right / bottom / top? Cuts only from the center. The challenge is this:
{$image | phpthumbon : 'w=100&h=90&zc=L'}
I tried to use pthumb with resizer enabled in the system settings... It worked once, but then it didn't work... I cleared the cache.

Are you okay with libraries? Make sure ImageMagick is installed and configured first.
