Why doesn't html2canvas work with the -webkit-box property?

I have an editor of a certain banner, which is processed via html2canvas by the button below, and is issued as an image that can be downloaded.
The banner has a text that should take no more than 3 lines, which I do through the line-clamp property.
However, this property does not work without the other one: display: -webkit-box.
With this display property, html2canvas does not render text into an image.
How can this problem be solved?
