Why doesn't hdmi transmit 144 hertz even in hd?
As far as I understand the problem is only in the data transfer speed. I don't know what version of hdmi I have (and I don't know how to find out), but the maximum hertz that I could set is 120 to 144 Hz on the monitor. Both in hd and fullhd, by the way, the monitor, regardless of the resolution installed in Windows, writes that it is now 1920 X 1080 120hz.
Is it possible to set hertz above 120 via hdmi?

It is necessary to look at what standard the cable is and what standard is supported by both the monitor and the video output of the computer.

HDMI versions can be found in the equipment manuals. The version can also be written on the cable.
