Why doesn't gigabyte gtx 660 ti work?

The bios (ami) on the asus motherboard (m4a79xtd evo and m5a97 r2.0) reports (1 long 3 short) that the gigabyte gtx 660 ti is inoperative, the card looks to be in perfect condition as is the GPU itself.
What can be done to revive it or is it all useless?

I think you checked the quality of the contacts in the connector, try inserting another card in place of yours, and do the same manipulation with yours, as an option - take it to the service for diagnostics in order to know the cause of the malfunction.
At home, I wouldn’t risk picking iron of this level with a soldering iron until I was 100% sure of the reason for the failure, but if it’s gpu, then there would be no point in picking.

Just recently encountered this. In addition to card failure, the connector on the motherboard may die. So I moved the card to PCIe x2 instead of x16 and it all worked. It may also lack food. Try a different power supply.
