Why doesn't getResources work at all?

I create a parent document in which several child .
It is assumed that the parent document is a blog with news, and the children are directly news.
I write the tag in the resource content of the parent document, but nothing happens at all.

In recent versions, you must specify either &tpl or &debug=`1`, otherwise the snippet will not output anything.
A very strange decision.

tpl does not help.
And if I write Debug=`1` then it displays some code directly on the page.
