Why doesn't email work over wi-fi on my android?

On android 4.1.1, there is no connection in the standard email program to the mailbox via wi-fi, but everything works through the mobile network.
The settings are correct. I tried to connect through another wi-fi point, the result is the same. Resetting the program settings and setting it up again, nothing helped. I did not find a similar problem on the Internet, did I look badly?

It is not entirely clear what access points we are talking about.
If it's one thing about your home personal, if it's a corporate one, then it's another.
In corp. Wi-Fi in general can be disabled by NAT, or made only on ports 80 and 443, and quite possibly a transparent proxy.
So it is quite possible that it is so conceived by the administrator, then you will not be able to pick up your mail via Wi-Fi.
