Why doesn't dnsmasq resolve domains when the internet is off?
Hello! On mac OS (El Capitan) there is a virtual machine vagrant
deployed via homestead
. There are several dev sites, on one of them I needed to make dynamic subdomains. Googled about dnsmasq, configured it, everything works. On the local network, I configured it so that dns resolves from /etc/resolver/dev
, it is written there servername 192.168.10.10
(the address of the virtual machine), it is /usr/local/etc/dnsmasq.conf
written in address=/dev/192.168.10.10
. In the virtual machine itself (Ubuntu 14.04) /etc/dnsmasq.conf
, address=/.dev/192.168.10.10
. So, everything works only when the Internet connection is on. As soon as I turn off the network, immediately everything stops working. Question - how to make dnsmasq work with the internet disconnected? Thank you.
