Good morning. Why doesn't CNC work in linux on xampp even though "LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so" is uncommented ?
Operating system ubuntu 14.04;
xampp server 5.6.19;
Links do not work on a site running joomla, a 404 is issued.
The solution that they write if you googling does not work. Namely:
1. Go to the directory of installation C:\xampp\apache\conf
2. Open and edit httpd.conf in a text editor
3. Find the line which contains
#LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
and (uncomment) change to
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
4. Find all occurrences of AllowOverride None and change to AllowOverride All

Don't use xampp. Use normal software for your Linux distribution. nginx, etc.
