Why doesn't Chrome on IOS cache images?
Hello, there is an animation of the background image on the web page depending on the scrolling. The path to the image is changed via background-image (50 images). In order for the pictures not to be loaded and the delay not to be visible, they are explicitly registered in the auxiliary layer all 50 pieces, a js-script for preloading images has also been added. Everything works smoothly on PC in all browsers, but on ipad, iphone in safari - ok, and in chrome - every time you change the url in the background-image, the picture is loaded again, although it was obviously loaded (auxiliary block with all the pictures + js-script for bulletproofing).
I read that this is a "feature" of chromium for mobile devices. Maybe I'm wrong. Is there a solution to prevent chrome from loading images every time the background-image url changes?
PS the sprite did, there are brakes when changing the background-position on ipad, iphone, with a touchscreen. And just changing the url, in ios safari everything is smooth, but in chrome it loads the pictures again and, accordingly, there are animation delays.
