Why does Yandex keep specifying type="text/javascript"?

I recently checked my site in the validator, found errors in the Joomla template insert that I did not know about: Warning: The type attribute is unnecessary for JavaScript resources.
BUT! Then I saw that the metrics and search from Yandex also continues to indicate type = "text/javascript"
Is this Yandex's laziness or is there some reason for that?

What are the opinions?
