Why does writing data to a flash drive hang?
There is a 16 GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade flash drive, used to watch movies and TV shows on TV. When copying files of 1-1.5 GB to it, everything goes smoothly, but no more, but when I try to upload a movie of 1.5 GB or more to it, problems begin: approximately every 1.5 GB copied, the process slows down for 30 seconds, after which it continues as a result, when watching a movie on a TV at these very buggy moments, the movie freezes, you have to turn it on again and rewind.
That is, if we have a 6 GB movie, then the recording will slow down approximately 3 times: by 1.5 GB, 3 GB and 4.5 GB, and, accordingly, the movie will end 3 times. All these are rough calculations by eye and it is difficult to say how often these freezes occur. I ran the flash drive for errors using regular Windows tools - it says that everything is perfect.

Still, the problem was caching. I do not know how and why, but with her. Since Windows does not know how to completely disable the cache, I installed Total Commander, in the file operation settings I chose the mode for working with large files (the cache is not used) and it all worked. Files fly slowly, but they reach the address, there is also an excellent file checking function in the total to be sure of the record. So, once again I am convinced that Windows does not work very well with files ...
