Why does windows freeze when sending documents to print?
Hello. The problem is this. We have an old Epson Stylus tx117 printer. We have a PC with Windows 8.1 update 1 installed. I installed the native printer driver, but the problem is that when sending any document to print from any application, the system freezes for a while, but then printing still starts. I tried the default driver that the system picked up, everything is fine there, but you can’t set the type or paper parameters. What can be done?

Because it refers to the network.
Perhaps you have dynamic (dhcp) registered, and not static (IP).
Check the purpose of the print processor on the default driver, it may be reset when changing, try winprint. Additionally, look at the device settings tab, when you change the driver, the parameters are reset there too.
