Why does Win7 x64 sp1 hang when starting Skype?

Operating system Windows 7 x64 sp1.
Notebook Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 0301
When you start Skype, the operating system immediately completely freezes. This type of freeze on the English-speaking Internet is called freeze - the image on the screen freezes, any activity stops, the system does not respond to external stimuli. Only reset is output. There is no BSOD and no dump is created.
At the same time, older versions of Skype - 5.x start normally, but at the moment its protocol version is no longer supported.
All drivers are up to date, hardware tests show that everything is in order.
If you remove the video card driver, or boot into safe mode, then the new version of Skype also starts normally. HD Mobility Radeon v 545
graphics card
At the same time, there are no problems with 3d games, for example.
I also found that when switching Video Codec to Hardware decoding: DXVA2 (native) mode, any video also freezes when trying to play it.

And there is also an opinion that with Linux you need to dance with a tambourine :)
Try to unsubscribe in Skype support.
And judging by this and this , you are not alone.
