Why does Wi-Fi drop out on Debian?
Good evening!
As an inexperienced Debian user, I can't solve the Wi-Fi problem on an ASUS laptop (the hardware is relatively new).
Initially, after installation, the system does not see the chipset (ifconfig does not show wlan0).
Googled the deb package for Realtek chipsets firmware-realtek_0.43_all.deb.
I installed it, the chipset was determined, and with the help of the wicd package I connected, there is Internet, everything is ok.
However, after a few minutes (tens of minutes), the Internet disappears and wicd stops detecting available networks, although the chipset is still detected.
How can this problem be solved?
