Why does vMotion change the number of cores to sockets?
Hello!
There is VMware vCenter 7.0.2 and several hosts with VMware ESXI 7.0.2.
When migrating a virtual machine through vMotion, it changes in CPU configurations from cores to sockets.
Those. if there were 8 cores, 1 socket on the virtual machine , then after migration we get 1 cores, 8 socket .
How can I fix this?!
Thanks in advance!

These definitions are exactly the same and result in 8 CPUs for the client. The difference is important for some licenses tied to cores or sockets.
