Why does Visual Studio Code wrap plain text when formatting in HTML?

Good afternoon. I ran into a problem when I use SHIFT+ALT+F auto-formatting in visual code , it also affects the plain text between tags.

I even tried the Beautify plugin and it also affects plain text.

The only plugins included are:

• git history;
  
• Git Lens
  
• HTML preview;
  
• Russian Language Pack;
  

Beautify disabled.

What could be the reason for this behavior? Plugin conflicts are unlikely, the search displays topics with line wrapping of the HTML code itself, which means that there are usually no such problems out of the box.
