Why does the zoom value in android yandex map not change?

The application uses the yanadexmapkitlibrary library to display the map on a fragment. I registered the Api key in the layout. In onResume I set the zoom value for the map
mapView.getMapController().setZoomCurrent(20)
but the value does not change. Why?

Do you have a map shift right up there? if there is, try swapping and, perhaps, this is too large a zoom.
