Why does the video card on a Linux laptop get very hot?
A laptop with an Nvidia 650M video card, only an external 27 monitor works. For the
last week and a half, the video card has become very warm, and the FPS drops significantly joxi.ru/a2XOyxNFyZeKpm Previously, it did not fall below 5000 and the temperature was lower. I
updated the drivers, but 361 does not fit into any, only 358. I
thought maybe thermal paste, smeared cpt-8, but it didn’t help, I decided to fork out for arctic cooling mx-2 (4 I didn’t find) saved by 3-4 degrees

In general, apparently the problem was in the kernel. After the new linux-generic-header update arrived, the temperature returned to normal.
There is also a problem with the external monitor. Turned it off, the temperature dropped 10-20 degrees
There was such a thing on the CPU, when the radiator with the cooler was poorly pressed to the processor, maybe you also had
5 minutes and the computer went into defense
Under Windows with native firewood everything is fine, or does it also slow down?
From the answer to this question, solve the problem (either in Linux there is a problem with firewood, or in hardware, the first is much more likely).
