Why does the ssh session get disconnected?

The situation is this: at work in the terminal, communication with a remote server via SSH is constantly interrupted. After a few minutes of inactivity, the terminal freezes and does not respond to commands. With local-virtual servers, everything is in order, sessions can hang for weeks. And with the remote ones - such a parsley. I associate this with the provider (Rostelecom), since everything is in order from home, incl. and from the same equipment.
In general, I sin on the provider, but I don’t understand what is happening and how to deal with it.

You can try diagnosing the network using Wireshark.
Alternatively, use a special secure connection client that is resistant to connection failure:

It was solved by setting timeouts and keeping alive.
