Why does the sound sometimes stop working in a 3.5mm jack on a laptop?

Introductory: ASUS ROG Strix G17
laptop Marshall Major III headphones Dual 3.5mm jack (audio + microphone) both on the laptop and on the headphones. 3.5mm jack on the laptop works 100%, headphones also work

Somehow, after the BSOD, the sound through the jack stopped working for me, and the microphone worked properly and everyone clearly hears me. I scored on this matter for a while (I thought marriage), but for the sake of interest, I recently plugged the headphones into the jack again - and the sound played properly.

Later, the BSOD happened again, and the sound disappeared again, but the microphone works.

Enough time passed between the events - there is a sound for 2 months, then a BSOD and the sound disappeared; then a month and the sound appeared. Now again the BSOD was yesterday, and the sound disappeared again.

I can’t sin on the connector in the laptop. Well, he cannot work properly for months and stop exactly after the BSOD.

I still sin on Asus Crate, Sonic Studio 3, and realtech drivers - I tried to remove / reinstall the whole thing, but it did not help.
Once, for the sake of interest, I tried to restore the control point, and lo and behold, it helped - the sound immediately began to play. The only problem is that the restoration of a lot of things rolled back, and I don’t know what the reason is.
The BSOD didn’t write anything normal (now I looked at the Windows log, but there was no bsod there for some reason)

I tried everything I found on the Internet on this subject, including but not limited to:
restore the checkpoint
check sfc
reset sound settings
delete / reinstall any native Asus "ovskih programs

But I couldn’t catch the specific reason for the loss and restoration of

sound.Maybe someone came across, or at least tell me what else to dig?

upd: I rearranged Windows only when buying a laptop in December 2020, and the problems started in the summer

@stunoff

Looks like I found the problem. There is not enough power supply (dofiga of which hangs on usb).
Using the dump analysis, I found the problematic driver (iaStorAC), googled it and disabled the external hard drive. And immediately everything worked.

Most likely the case is in the connector on the laptop, as it was on one laptop. I took it apart, and saw that a couple of contacts had moved away from soldering. They often used the nest, so they shook it.
