Why does the shape change when I delete dots in Illustrator?

I don’t understand why the figure changes when cutting points. Any thoughts?

The figure does not change. Changes the alignment of the stroke relative to the center of the path. It was internal, it became, in fact, in the center. This behavior is normal because in Illustrator an open path cannot have a different stroke alignment. And your outline becomes open after you cut it.
